Installation and disassembly
Installation
Take safety precautions before installing the flow controller
(e.g. shut off the pipeline). Take into consideration high
temperatures of the components or medium.
In open systems install the flow controller in a riser.
Check accessibility of the threads, improve mating threads
if needed.
Use suitable sealing methods.
When installing and during operation be sure no shear
forces are generated between the process terminals of the
sensor (see Fig. 7).
NOTICE
Shear forces
Shear forces and tensions can result in damage to the
sensor and compromise the seals.
► When installing and during operation be sure that no
shear forces can arise (see Fig. 7 and Fig. 8).

Attach pipelines near the threaded connection with no
tension (see Fig. 9, application example).

If using the mounting holes in the housing, use sufficiently
large washers. Avoid damaging the housing with the screw
head.
Maintain clear pipe sections in front of and behind the flow
controller (see Fig. 10).

Avoid varying diameters within the inlet section.
Disassembly
For disassembly the same safety notes apply as for
installation.
