right hand on the operating handle (2) at about hip height. Adopt an upright,
comfortable posture. While mowing, hold the appliance out in front of you at an
angle of about 30°.
7.1. Cutting
Cut the grass using swinging motions from right to
left. Where possible, always cut using the left-hand
section of the cutting area (shown in light grey).
Do not cut from left to right (right-hand cutting
area, shown in dark grey) as there is an increased
risk of kickback and a possibility of grass or other
objects being thrown towards the operator.
Cut longer grass in several stages. Start from the
top down to prevent the grass from getting wound
around the spool.
Avoid contact with fixed obstacles (stones, walls, fences, etc.). Work as close as
possible to the respective obstacle without allowing the nylon cord to come into
contact with it, as this could lead to pieces of cord being broken off and thrown
towards the operator. Do not cut directly against an obstacle.
7.2. Trimming
WARNING!
Risk of injury when using the cutting head in a
vertical position.
Always keep at a safe distance from the cutting cord.
Press the lock button for cutting head rotation to
rotate the cutting head by 180°. Release the lock
button to lock the cutting head into position.
