6. Assembling the appliance

6.1. Fitting the protective guard

CAUTION!
Risk of injury.
 Do not remove the transport lock on the cord cutter
(13) under the protective cover until after assembly.
 Place the protective cover (4) under the cutting head (7) and screw it firmly in
place using the supplied screws (12).
 Remove the transport lock from the cord cutter (13).

6.2. Fit and adjust front handle

 Press and hold the lock (10).
 Set the front handle onto the operating handle (2) and adjust it to the desired
position.
 Release the lock button. Ensure that the front handle is firmly locked in position.

6.3. Set length

To work comfortably, you can adjust the length of the appliance's telescopic shaft
(14) to suit your own height.
 Raise the locking lever (9) on the telescopic shaft.
 Pull or push the telescopic shaft to the appropriate length.
 Engage the locking lever again to prevent displacement.
