Servicing (documented dismantling and thorough inspection), which
takes place at least once every 5 years, is only to be carried out by
WÜRTH.
Regular inspections and maintenance depend on the actual lift
intervals and the environment (dust, humidity etc.) in which the fall
arrest block is used.
Weight restrictions:
HSG PRO:
HSG COMPACT:
Installing the fall arrest block (fig. 1):
All fall arrest blocks can be attached on the anchor side (1) to a
suitable anchor point (min. 12 kN as per EN) with a carabiner (e.g.
Oval Steel S) or with a carabiner and sling (e.g. 22 kN LOOP), with
a minimum breaking strength of 22 kN.
ATTENTION: Never use lanyards or other energy absorbing
connecting devices to extend the anchor point. This could render
inoperative the locking function of the device.
The HSG Compact can also be screwed directly onto a verified static
structure with an M10 machine screw with a bolt quality of at
least 8.8.
Only clip the connector at the user end (4) into an attachment point
marked 'A' on the safety harness.
The housing (2) must not rest on edges and the retractable lifeline
(cable, webbing, 3) must not be obstructed in its direction of travel,
and under no circumstances be directed over edges or around
corners. (Point 4)
