We recommend that you follow the following tips to save energy:
•
To prevent the refrigerator temperature rising, do not open the door more often than
necessary and never leave it open for long periods.
•
Make sure that the appliance is located away from any heat source (direct sunlight, electric
heating, baking trays, etc.).
•
Never set the temperature lower than necessary.
•
Do not store hot food or liquids that evaporate in the appliance. Hot food and drinks
should be allowed to cool to room temperature before placing them in the appliance.
•
Do not open the door if there is a power cut.
•
Place the appliance in a well-ventilated room without humidity. Please refer to the chapter
on installing the appliance.
•
Follow the recommendations in the illustration showing the correct positioning of the
shelves and other compartments of the appliance. This is the ideal position to save energy.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Always unplug the appliance from the mains before cleaning or defrosting. We recommend
that you regularly clean and disinfect your appliance.

efrosting
Refrigerator: It is not necessary to defrost the refrigerator because the ice that accumulates
on the rear refrigeration wall defrosts automatically each time the compressor stops. The frost
melts and water flows through the hole in the rear wall. It is collected in the container above
the compressor where it evaporates.
Freezer: Inside the freezer, the walls are covered with a layer of frost. When the layer is 3 to
5mm thick, you must defrost it. In any case, the freezer compartment must be defrosted at
least once a year.

Seal fresh and frozen food in freezer bags and store in a cool location. Make sure that
frozen food does not thaw. Leave the 2 doors open and wipe away the water that flows/
accumulates as it melts.
•
To speed the process up, you can put containers of hot water in the 2 compartments, and,
in this case, close the door.

To defrost, you can use a scraper (not supplied) or any plastic utensil but never a metal
instrument, defrosting product, electrical appliance such as hair dryer, steam cleaner, etc.
Be careful not to damage the surfaces. Do not use aerosol cans, they can damage plastics
and damage health

When defrosting is complete, wipe away the water and clean the appliance.

leAning
•
Clean the appliance and accessories (shelves, etc.) inside it with a soft sponge and warm
soapy water mixed with white vinegar. They should then be rinsed with clean water and
carefully dried using a soft cloth.
•
Clean the condensate drain pipe on the rear wall of the refrigerator compartment. Always
make sure that it is not obstructed as water is collected in a tank at the back of the
appliance. You can clean it with a cotton swab.
•
This water drainage system is very easy to get dirty and causes unpleasant odours; get into
the habit of cleaning it regularly.
•
Regularly inspect the door seals to check that they are clean and not harbouring any food
particles. It is important to keep the door seals clean at all times. Clean them with hot
water and dry thoroughly.
•
The appliance can be turned back on once everything is dry.
•
Do not use hot water to clean the glass shelves if they are cold. There is a risk that the
glass will shatter because of the sudden change in temperature which could cause injury
and serious damage.
•
Never use abrasive or caustic cleaning products or scrub sponges to clean the interior or
exterior of your appliance.
•
NOTE: If the plastic parts of the refrigerator are left with animal or vegetable oil
on them for a long period, they are likely to be damaged and could crack. Clean the
affected parts immediately with hot water.
•
Never use a steam cleaner to clean the refrigerator. The moisture generated can accumulate
on the electrical components and could expose users to the risk of an electric shock. The
hot steam can also damage the interior parts made of plastic.
