Warning about using frequencies

The Quick Configuration and Frequencies sub-menus provide access to the communication channels' settings (radio
frequencies).
NB: Before using the device, please observe the legal provisions in force in your country. Please refer to the "Usage
restrictions" chapter at the end of this document. These restrictions apply to the countries listed. Otherwise,
the information below applies.
You can parameterise the Vokkero® Squadra terminal on 6 different channels (depending on the terminal version)
which have been split into 2 separate groups:
* EC channels, which are authorised in all European Community countries, and are referred to as "Class 1" channels
(they can be used throughout the European Community – Harmonised standards – Harmonised frequencies). These
frequencies can be used on an unrestricted basis within the EEC.
* "Class 2 ! channels require a permit prior to using them. It is the user's responsibility to make enquiries with the
competent authorities in the country where the system will be used, in order to know what channel he or she may be
authorised to use. In certain cases, you may need to obtain a licence or a temporary licence to use these channels.
The links below enable you to obtain additional information concerning the procedures to follow in order to obtain your
temporary licences.

Note: The terminal's default setting is to start up on a Class 1 (EC1) channel setting, unless the Class 2 channels
option has been selected when previously adjusting the setting.
The frequencies for the various channels are as follows:
EUROPE Class 1 channels:
EC 1: 869.525 MHz
EUORPE Class 2 channels
SE1: 866.5 MHz (Special Event - temporary licence required)
SE2: 864.5 MHz (Special Event - temporary licence required)
SE3: 863.5 MHz (Special Event - temporary licence required)
When browsing through the menus relating to the communication channels, pop-up windows warn you and alert you
regarding the regulatory aspects of using the various communication channels.
NB: If a Class 2 channel has been selected when previously using the system, the terminal's ! icon will flash on and
off on your screen and a regular beeping sound will be heard in the earpiece for 15 seconds (during which it will not
be possible to use the equipment), indicating to you that your Vokkero® Squadra has been set to a Class 2 channel.
