Weight limits:
HSG PRO: 9 – 100 kg
HSG KOMPAKT: 5 – 150 kg
Attaching the fall arrester device (see fig. 1):
All fall arrester devices can be attached to a suitable anchor point
(min. 12 kN according to EN) on the connection side (1) via a
carabiner (e.g. Oval Steel S) or via a carabiner and a sling strap
(e.g. LOOP 22 kN) with a minimum failure load of 22 kN.
Warning! Never use a fastener or other restraining connection to
extend the anchor point as this could prevent the blocking system
from working.
The HSG KOMPAKT can also be screwed directly onto the statically
approved structure using a machine construction screw M10,
minimum quality 8.8.
Clip the connection element on the person side (4) exclusively to a
fall arresting eyelet on the harness marked "A".
The housing (2) should not be supported on edges and the safety
rope running in and out (rope, webbing 3) should not be impeded in
the direction in which it moves and should never run over edges or
around bends. (See point 4)

3.) Vertical use

To minimise a swinging fall, the anchor point should, wherever
possible, be perpendicular above the person.
The clear height required under the floor or platform is calculated
based on the individual system factors (see fig. 2):
Body height (x) + stopping distance of HSG (Δl) + safety clearance
(1 m) + Possible elongation of the anchoring device (see
manufacturer's user instructions) = H

4.) Horizontal use
HSG PRO fall arresters have been developed for horizontal use in
any direction. To confirm their suitability, various edge tests (steel
edge radius = 0.5 mm without burr) are carried out and the devices
are certified accordingly. On the basis of these tests, the fall arresters
are suitable for horizontal use. To protect labelling and to make it
easier to read during use, it is recommended that the device is laid on
the horizontal surface with the label facing upwards.
Independently of these tests, the following must be taken into account
when using the device in diagonal or horizontal positions, in which
there is a risk of falling over an edge.
1. If the risk assessment carried out before the start of the work
reveals that the fall edge is particularly "sharp" and/or is "not burr-
free", the risk of falling over the edge must be excluded or edge
protection must be installed
