The IWF unit (Intermediary Wire Feeder) is supplied ready for
use with water-cooled SIGMA SELECT and AUTOMIG 300 PULSE.
Connecting the intermediate drive for welding
1.
Connect the 17-pin plug [1] to the power source
2.
Connect the Euro plug [2] to the power source
3.
Connect the two connectors [3] (blue/red) to the water
quick releases on the power source
4.
Connect the Euro plug of the welding torch [4] to the IWF
5.
Connect the two connectors [5] (blue/red) to the
corresponding quick releases on the IWF.
Connections (EN 60 529): IP3X, IP2X
Shielding gas:
The machine will automatically register a connected IWF unit.

Important!
In order to avoid destruction
of plugs and cables, good
electric contact is required
when connecting earth cable
and welding hose to the
machine/IWF.
Please note
Nut and screw in the central
connector of the welding torch may
loosen, even if the central connector
is stored in a heat protection cover.
It is therefore necessary to retighten
in order to maintain good electrical
contact.
