Never use the appliance in the
vicinity of or underneath flammable
materials such as curtains, flamma-
ble liquids or gas.
Danger of burns
This electrical appliance has a
heating function. Surfaces, even
other than the functional surfaces
can develop high temperatures.
Since temperatures are experienced
differently by different people, this
appliance must be used CAREFUL-
LY. Only hold the appliance using
the intended gripping surfaces and
use gloves or pot holders to protect
against heat. Surfaces not intended
to be handled must be allowed
enough time to cool down.
Do not touch the hot surfaces during
operation.
During operation, only touch the
handles or control elements of the
appliance.
Before cleaning, allow the appliance
to cool down.
CAUTION
Do not carry or move the appliance
during operation.
Never operate the heating element
in a dismantled condition.
Do not use charcoal or flammable
liquids for operating the appliance.
Do not pull the connecting cable
to remove the plug from the mains
socket.
Never lift or move the appliance with
the mains cable.

Requirements for the place of use

For safe and trouble-free operation of the
appliance, the place of operation must sat-
isfy the following requirements:
Place the appliance on a level, heat
resistant surface that is also resistant
to splashing fat.
NOTE
When using the grill on the stand (6),
make sure it is standalone securely.
Do not place the appliance in a hot,
wet or very humid environment or in
the vicinity of inflammable materials.
There must be a gap of at least 15 cm
between the appliance and any walls,
furniture or other objects.
Select a location that does not allow
children to reach the hot surfaces of
the appliance.
Do not place the appliance in the vicin-
ity of ponds or swimming pools.
The mains socket must be easily ac-
cessible and allow fast disconnection
in the event of an emergency.
Do not operate the appliance directly
underneath a smoke detector and
ensure that there is sufficient ventila-
tion in order to avoid triggering a false
alarm.
