Operation and use
General instructions

The food should be at room tempera-
ture since frozen food requires longer
to cook and can also dry out.
■
To achieve the best results, preheat
the grill until the required temperature
has been reached and the control indi-
cator (5) extinguishes.
■
Carefully monitor grilling and regulate
the temperature – if necessary.
■
You can use the appliance to cook
various different foods such as steaks,
sausages or vegetables.
NOTE
►
Do not touch the heating element
with the grill utensils.
Using the appliance
Switching on
Fill the drip tray (7) with water up to
the "MAX" mark.
Insert the heating element, the grill
grate or the grill plate into the appli-
ance.
Insert the plug into a mains socket.
Set the maximum temperature with
the thermostat (4).
Allow the appliance to heat up after
switching on. The operating tempera-
ture is reached in approx. 8 minutes.

The temperature has been reached
when the control indicator (5) extin-
guishes.
Set the thermostat to a lower level
and allow the appliance to cool down
a little if you require a lower grilling
temperature.
Place the food to be grilled.
NOTE
►
The temperature timer settings can
be changed at any time during grill-
ing.
►
The white grill plate can turn yellow if
you grill on for longer periods at very
high temperatures. The grill plate will
turn white again after it has cooled
down.
After using
Turn the thermostat anticlockwise until
it stops.
Pull the plug out of the mains socket.
Remove the grill plate or the grate and
the heating element (9) from the ap-
pliance.
Empty the drip tray (7).
Use a sponge and washing-up liquid
to remove stubborn stains from the
warm grill grate.
Allow the appliance to cool down and
clean it as described in the section
Cleaning and care. (page 21).
NOTE
►
Use pot holders or kitchen gloves
when removing the heating element,
the grill grate or the grill plate.
