The protective gas monitoring checks, if
the gas cylinder is open and if protective
gas is present for the sintering. If this is
not the case, the furnace will not start and
will output an error message. The gas
pressure is continuously monitored in the
running program.

key. 6.2.3 Post-preparations for the Sintering
When the sintering program is over, a tempera-
ture of 50 °C is indicated and the compressed-air
cooling is stopped.
▷ Switch the furnace off.
▷ Using the bowl/cover tongs, carefully remove
the protective-gas retort out of the furnace
compartment and place it down on a non-flam-
mable surface.

due to its high weight.
▷ Apply bowl/cover tongs ensuring a firm and
good grip.
▷ Using the bowl/cover tongs, carefully remove
the sintering bowl out of the furnace compart-
ment and place it down on a non-flammable sur-
face.
▷ Remove the sintering cover and place it down
on a non-flammable surface.
▷ Remove the sintered frame.
Before continuing:
▷ Blast off the sintered frame with commercially
available aluminium corundum (50 - 110 μm).
▷ Evaluate the sintering result based on the Sin-
tron sintering chart (see User Manual
Argovent 2).

When the sintering program is over, a tempera-
ture of 50 °C is indicated and the compressed-air
cooling is stopped.
▷ Switch the furnace off.
▷ Shut the main valve of the gas cylinder.
▷ When not using for longer periods, leave the
Argovent components in the furnace.
