Function test

The individual functions, such as cooling and gas
flow, can be manually set and checked via the con-
troller.
A function test must be carried out before using
the furnace for production:
▷ Check the furnace's protective gas function
(see 6.1.1).
▷ Check the furnace's compressed-air cooling
(see 6.1.2).
6.1.1 Checking the furnace function for the
protective gas
The correct quantity of protective gas must be
ensured prior to the first program run. It is manu-
ally set and checked with the

▷ Access the configuration level with the

6.1.2 Checking the furnace function for the
compressed-air cooling
WARNING:
Danger of burning!
▷ Check the air flow only when the furnace is
cold.
The furnace is factory-pre-set when shipped.
When the air flow is active, a pressure of 1 bar is
automatically given.
The air flow must be checked prior to the first pro-
gram run.

Starting the sintering process

6.2.1 Preparations for the sintering
▷ Equip the heating furnace with Argovent (see
separate Assembly and repair instructions,
Argovent 2)
▷ Connect compressed air.
▷ Connect protective gas supply and adjust.
6.2.2 Sintering
▷ Shut the furnace door.
▷ Open the valve of the gas cylinder.
▷ Provide for the compressed-air supply.
▷ Switch the furnace on.
▷ Select program 1 on the furnace keypad by
pressing the key.
