During the installation process, check the flow direction shown on the
index or meter housing.
If you wish to install the unit vertically at a later point in time, the oil pump
(if present) must also be fitted vertically. If this is not the case, you must
turn the oil pump and its oil connection line and any other attachments,
e.g. volume conversion device, through 90° before installing the meter.
Fit the seals concentrically between the flanges and ensure that they do
not project into the flow channel.
Secure the meter using the screws set out in Table 5/6.
Ensure that the meter is aligned without any tension.
Install the supplied accessories.
We recommend that the meter is installed at a site protected from the
weather or that suitable protection is installed.
3.7 Commissioning/Filling with oil
CAUTION!
Before commissioning, meters with an oil pump must undergo
initial lubrication (> see "To insert oil").
CAUTION!
Always keep the supply tank topped up with oil to prevent air
entering the pipe system. Use only fresh, clean oil. The supply tank
must be sealed tightly immediately after filling so that no dirt or
water can get into it.
NOTE!
Other non-resinous and non-acidic oils with a viscosity of approx.
30 mm²/s at 20°C, solidification point lower than -30°C, or
equivalent oils may be used. For special gases such as propane or
butane, or in difficult operating conditions (e.g. full load operation
or contaminated gases), the lubrication intervals should be halved
(every 1.5 – 2 months).
