installed correctly.
4. Do the same for the second grill plate and make sure both are properly installed
by closing your Family Croque carefully.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Before first time use you should clean your Family Croque (see Cleaning) to remove
any possible manufacturing residues and dust. With first time use, a fine smoke
and odour may be released. This is perfectly normal and will not occur anymore
afterwards. We recommend not consuming the very first food you heat in the device.
Plug into the socket.
Close the lid of your Family Croque.
The red light will switch on. Pre-heating will take approximately 6 minutes.
When the correct temperature is reached, the temperature indicator will light up
green. During baking, this light may switch on and off to indicate the correct
temperature is maintained.
Prepare your croques while the appliance heats up.
To reduce the risk of sticking and to improve the appearance and taste of your
croques, you can oil the plates lightly with (sunflower) oil or rub your croques
lightly with butter or margarine.
Use oven gloves.
Put your four croques on the lower plate and close the lid carefully. You can
position your croques with a wooden or plastic spatula. Do not use force to close
the lid and take care with hot surfaces.
Let your croque bake for 4 to 5 minutes. This is a good average. Adjust the time
to your choice.
Open the lid carefully (oven gloves!) and remove the croques with a non-metallic
spatula. Metal objects can damage the non-stick coating.
Before biting: be careful with hot dishes, the cheese can become very hot.
Do not overfill the appliance. The excess will drain down along the sides and
possibly burn.
CLEANING
Unplug the appliance and let your Family Croque cool off completely before you
begin any maintenance or cleaning.
Do not immerse the appliance the plug or cord in water or any other liquid.
Do not use metal utensils, steel wool or other abrasive or corrosive cleaners.
Wipe the plates clean with absorbent paper or a soft, damp cloth.
After removing the plates you can wash them in hot soapy water. Wipe dry with a
soft cloth.
To prevent oxidation on the back of the plates it is recommended that you put
them back into place in the appliance and then heat them for 1 minute with the lid
closed.
