8. Setup/Installation
Before firmly installing the outdoor sensor, ensure that the weather station
receives the radio signal of the outdoor sensor without problems.
• The outdoor sensor can be attached to the wall on a nail, screw or hook using an
opening on the rear. The outdoor sensor can be set up on a horizontal, level surface
with an extending standing base.
The outdoor sensor is suitable to be used in a protected outdoor area. It
should be placed so that it is not subject to direct solar irradiation, because
the measured values will be incorrect otherwise. Precipitation on the outdoor
sensor also leads to incorrect temperature measurement because the casing
cools off. Never immerse or submerge the outdoor sensor in water; it would
be destroyed!
We therefore recommend careful selection of the site of set-up for the outdoor
sensor to measure the correct temperature (and humidity).
• The weather station can be attached to the wall on a nail, screw or hook using an
opening on the rear.
If desired, you may set up the weather station on a horizontal, level surface by screwing
the enclosed standing base (metal rod) on the rear. Protect valuable furniture surfaces
from scratches with suitable pads.
Select a location as operating site that is not in the sun or next to a radiator.
This will falsify the temperature or humidity display.
