5.1 Manual operation
The ball valve can also be opened and closed
by hand.
The position of the ball valve is shown by the
indicator 'A' .
'ON' - Open
'OFF' - Closed
Models MV12A and MV24A:
Insert the included Allen key (
control unit and turn in the direction indicated.
Model MV24B:
Place a wrench (

trol unit and turn in the direction indicated.
Remove the control unit to either open or close
the ball valve if it is not possible to operate the
valve by hand, as is described above, using a
normal amount of manual force.

6 Malfunction
• In the case of a power failure the ball valve
may be opened and closed by hand.
For details please see 'Operation, manual
operation' .
• If the control element of the ball valve has
been out of use for prolonged periods of
time, the ball of the valve may get stuck. In
this case the ball valve should be manually
opened and closed several times.
For details please see 'Operation, manual
operation' .
• If the indicator light of the switch on the
control panel fails to light up within the
usual time, check for obstacles possibly
preventing the ball valve from opening or
closing.
When removal of the obstacle is unsuccess-
ful:
If the ball valve is controlled by a switch
(ELVPAN12 or ELVPAN24):
Press the switch on the control panel to the
left or to the right.
If the ball valve is controlled by a waste
water control panel (WWCP):
Follow the directions stated in the manual
included with the WWCP.
