Do not lift more than 30 kg with the bicycle rack.
Otherwise, the bicycle rack may be damaged and
the hung object may fall down.
Always use the safety hooks (g) to secure the bicy-
cle. The bicycle may fall down otherwise.
Always wrap the remaining rope around the mount-
ing hooks (e) so it does not pose a tripping hazard.
Do not stand under the suspended bicycle.
Only use the bicycle rack for storage purposes; do
not use it for any other purpose.
Repairs may not be performed on the suspended
bicycle.
Make sure the rope does not slip through your hands
too quickly! This can result in burns and scrapes.
The bicycle rack may not be used by weak per-
sons, children or people with mental or physical
disabilities. The bicycle could fall down and result
in injuries.
Make sure the hooks (c) cannot slip from the saddle
and handlebars when raising or lowering the bicycle.
Maximum load: 30 kg (per hook 15 kg)
!
Attention!
The screw (1) is mounted in the ceiling
mount (b) when delivered.
The screw (1) may not be fully unscrewed
from the ceiling mount (b).
The screw (1) must be slightly unscrewed
when mounting the bicycle rack and
screwed back in prior to use.
The screw (1}) cannot be replaced.
Assembly
The rack is installed on stone and concrete ceilings
using the provided screws and dowels..
!
Attention when drilling into ceilings
and walls:
Damage to electrical lines, gas lines or water lines
12
can lead to hazardous situations! Please use suita-
ble detectors to determine whether there are hid-
den lines in the work area.
Measure the distance from the handlebars to the sad-
dle of your bicycle. Transfer this measurement (X) to
the ceiling to mount the ceiling mount (a) + (b) (B1).
!
Make sure you maintain the min. distance
from the side walls (B1).
Insert the end of the rope into the rear opening on
the ceiling mount (a) and tie a tight double knot so
it cannot slip back (B2).
Anchor the ceiling mount (a) + (b) on the ceiling
with two dowels (i) and screws (h) each (B1).
!
The provided screws and dowels are only
suitable for mounting the bicycle rack on a ceiling
made of concrete, brick, sand-lime brick. When
mounting on other materials, use appropriate
screws and dowels. Please get information from
your hardware store regarding suitable screws and
dowels for your wall.
Now connect the construction to the rope in ac-
cordance with the pulley principle.
Thread the rope (d) as shown (B2 and B3) from
the ceiling mount (a) into the hook (c) and further
to the ceiling mount (b) and hook (c).
!
Note: The ceiling mount (b) is equipped
with a brake which prevents the rope from slipping
uncontrollably and the bicycle from falling. In or-
der for it to function properly, the rope (d) must be
threaded as illustrated in (B3).
Guide the rope (d) through the safety hooks (g)
and the handle (f) and put a knot in the end of the
rope (d) so it cannot slip from the handle (f) (B4).
Anchor the mounting hook (e) for the rope with
2 dowels (i) and 2 screws (h) on the wall (B1).
Check all screws again for proper fit!
Using the bicycle rack (B5):
1. Raising the bicycle
Attach the ceiling mount (a) + (b) to the saddle and
handlebars of the bicycle.
Pull the rope (d) straight down to pull the bicycle up.
Pull the rope (d) back to activate the brake.
Let the rope go and attach the safety hook (g) to a
suitable point on the bicycle. Wrap the rest of the
rope (d) around the mounting hook (e).
2. Lowering the bicycle
Put the rope (d) in the unlock position (straight
down). Release the safety hook (g). Carefully low-
er the bicycle.
!
