8.2 Keeping oil lines clean

When coupler halves are disconnected, always screw on dust caps. Use every precaution to guard unit
against entrance of dirt because foreign matter may cause pump, cylinder, or valve failure.

8.3 Lubricating the pump

To extend pump life and maintain performance, regularly lubricate the beam pin (A) with a suitable
penetrating oil, the cross pin (B) with multi-purpose grease, and pump piston (C) with a suitable piston
grease which does not affect the shaft seal (see figure 5).
