The ripping-cut fence has separate clamps for the
front and rear edges of the table. This prevents a
lateral movement of the stop surface.
Fitting
fAttach the rotary knob [1-3] to the longitudi-
nal stop.
fUnscrew rotary knob [1-3] and open the
clamping levers [1-2, 1-4].
fMount the stop to the side of the saw table as
shown in Fig. 2.
fSlide the stop to the required position.
fTighten the rotary knob [1-3] and close the
clamping lever [1-2].
fOnce both rotary knobs [2-1] are unscrewed,
the sliding fence can be moved in a longitu-
dinal direction or removed. The sliding fence
can be clamped onto the holder in a low po-
sition for thin workpieces [1-5], or in a high
position for thick workpieces [1-1].
Settings
The following adjustments are possible with the
ripping-cut fence:
- Rotary knob [1-3]: Clamp stop to front edge of
table
- Clamping lever [1-2]: Clamp stop to rear edge of
table.
- Clamping lever [1-4]: Clamp fine adjustment.
- Rotary knob [1-7]: Stop adjustment with fine
adjustment
- Rotary knobs [2-1]: Clamp stop guide to stop rail.
Fine adjustment
fUnscrew the rotary knob [1-3], open clamp-
ing lever [1-2] and close clamping lever [1-4].
fUse the adjusting wheel [1-7] to move the
fence to the required position. The scale [1-6]
shows the possible adjustment path.
fTighten the rotary knob [1-3] and close the
clamping lever [1-2].
If the clamp is too weak the clamping lever can
be moved as follows:
fBring clamping lever into maximum clamping
position.
fRelease bolt which holds the clamping lever
to the axis.
fSet clamping lever back by one division on the
hexagon.
fRe-tighten clamping lever.
fSet fence to exact size with fine adjustment
using rotary knob [1-7]. The fence is hereby
moved by 1/10 mm for every scale mark.
fTighten fence clamps [1-2, 1-4] after final ad-
justment.
TKS 80: SawStop technology is triggered
fDo not let the saw blade come into contact
with the rip fence or the cross stop.
TKS 80: SawStop technology is triggered or
the TKS 80 does not start
fWhen sawing cutting widths of ≤ 3 mm, use a
support ≥ 19 mm.
