A. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
All local regulations, including those referring to national and European standards
need to be complied with when installing the appliance.
Install this device only when it complies with local/national legislation, by-laws and
standards.
This product is intended to be used for room heating in residential houses and is
only suitable for use in dry locations, indoors in living room, kitchen and garage.
Do not install the stove in bedrooms or bathrooms.
Correct installation of this stove is extremely important for product performance
and your personal safety. Therefore:
•
This heater must be installed by a by Zibro authorized heating and installa-
tion engineer. The warranty can only be effective when it is installed by a by
Zibro agreed professional. The instructions for use given in this manual may
vary from local and/or regional legislation. When this is the case the most
stringent condition is applicable. Any responsibility in cases of installation
not complying to local legislation and regulation and/or in case of incorrect
air ventilation and/or inappropriate use is explicitly declined by the manu-
facturer and distributor.
•
The stove must only be installed in a room where the location, the building
construction and the use of the room do not interfere with safe operation
of the stove.
Burning pellets need oxygen, thus air. Ensure to allow sufficient fresh air to enter
the room. Per hour an additional 50 m
requirement for the room. Always have a fresh air inlet to the room with a section
of at least a quarter of the section of the exhaust flue, with a minimum of 100 cm
It might be necessary to shut off mechanical ventilation and/or kitchen extraction
hoods as this might negatively influence the draught needed for the stove. See
chapter B.2.
•
Use proper equipment to transport the stove. Using not adequate equip-
ment might lead to personal injuries and/or damage to the stove.
•
Do not place any inflammable objects and/or materials within 200 mm of the
sides and back of the stove and not within 800 mm to the front of the stove.
•
Keep 200 mm clearance between walls and side/back of the stove.
•
Do not block the air outlet.
•
When the floor is made of inflammable material, place the stove on a fire
proof base plate. The fire proof base plate to front to be 400 mm. larger and
to the sides to be 200 mm wider than the footprint of the stove (see picture
1, dimension D and E.)
•
In case the walls are made out of inflammable materials make sure to have
sufficient distance from side/back of stove to the wall. Make sure that even
at highest stoking rate the wall temperature can never exceed 80°C. In case
of doubt a fire proof protective plate must be placed.
•
The surface of the stove can become very hot when in use. NEVER leave
children unattended with the stove. Children should be supervised to ensure
they do not play with the stove.
