SKCD Preliminary
ð The SKCD dosage occurs by detecting conductivity. The pump doses at maximum speed (100%) if the
reading is less than Set Point.
- All settings are programmed using the keyboard on the front of the peristaltic pump.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Power supply switching: 100-240 Vac 50-60 Hz (24 Vac 50-60 Hz upon request)
Consumption:: 5 W
- Standby switch (optional manual priming)
- Level input
- Conductivity probe input (cell constant K=1)
- UP/SET key, PROG key, 4 digit, 7 segment display (1 green digit, 2-3-4 red digits)
- OFA Alarm buzzer (optional level) and signals on Set Point
- Reading Range 0.2 mS - 10 mS, resolution 0.1mS
OPERATION
The SKCD conductivity dosing pump provides easy and intuitive operation: The pump
is equipped with 2 cables:
• Cable 1 for the fixed power supply (100-240 Vac or 24 Vac - optional)
• Cable 2 is dedicated to the conductivity probe)
• Programming takes place through the keyboard and the display on the pump's front panel.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
Power the pump using cable 1, identified by the words POWER SUPPLY.
When this cable is powered, the pump is ON (if the switch is placed in the ON position)
Connect cable 2, identified by the word PROBE, to the signal that must start dosing.
Place the switch in the OFF position: The pump goes on standby.
PROGRAMMING
Access programming mode by pressing and holding down the PROG key for at least 2 sec. (with pump in
SbY). The first item to appear is P (password) – by entering the correct password it is possible to enter and make
changes in the menu.
To change the password scroll the menu up to item o and enter the desired password; this item may vary from 000
to 999 and save changes upon exiting the menu.
Programming is used to set SKCD parameters (Set Point, temperature, OFA Timer) in 4 consecutive menus
(marked 1, 2, 3 and A in the GREEN digit respectively).
Scroll menus using the UP key.
i.e. ( Set Point = 2.5 mS )
i.e. (temperature = 25° C )
i.e. ( Timer OFA = 360 sec. )
i.e. (AIR Recognition = ON)
the tank is empty).
Press the PROG key. The RED digits blink to permit parameter editing using the UP key. Press the
PROG key again and the display stops blinking to permit menu navigation (using the UP key).
To exit programming without saving changes, press PROG in menu 4 ESC (4 ESC). To save data, press menu
5 Hold (5 HID).
OFA ALARMS
The OFA timer can be set in programming (0 – 999 sec.).
If conductivity does not reach the Set Point within the set time, the message "1 OFA" blinks on the display. In
this condition, the SKCD continues dosing.
If the Set Point is not reached after a time period twice OFA time,""2 OFA" appears on the display.
condition, the SKCD stops and the buzzer intermittently beeps to signal an alarm.
AIR ALARM
In programming, you can enable (ON) or disable (OFF) whether to detect if the probe is in AIR or not.
If the system detects that the probe is in AIR (empty tank), the tag (Air) flashes on the display and in this condition
the SKCD stops.
When the pump recognizes that the probe is no longer in AIR, will resume normal operation.
STANDBY (FUNCTIONAL STOP)
When the switch is on Stand-by OFF, the pump goes on standby.
The display shows: SbY
From standby, moving the switch back to ON, the pump is reset and dosing starts again.
LEVEL ALARM (OPTIONAL)
If the pump signals a level alarm, the display shows: A L r and the buzzer comes on.
