e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or
binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and
any other condition that may affect the power
tool's operation. If damaged, have the power tool
repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by
poorly maintained power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly
maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are
less likely to bind and are easier to control.
ASSEMBLY
Step 1
• F it 2 Leg Clamps (H) to each Side Frame (E) using
the Coach Bolts (J), Leg Clamp Springs (I) and Round
Knobs (G)
• E nsure the feet of the leg clamps fit into the slots on
the side frame end brackets. Screw on the knobs, just
a few turns only. (FIG. 1)
Step 2
• A ttach the side frames to the front and rear end panels
(A & B) using the Phillips Head Screws (L) and Flange
Nuts (K), as shown
• Do not tighten yet. Once all fasteners are in position,
place the unit on a flat work surface and tighten firmly
with a screwdriver
Step 3
• Turn the unit upside down. Remove the Front Legs (C)
from their storage position inside the Rear Legs (D)
• I nsert the rear legs (with rubber feet) fully into their
sockets at the rear of the unit. Insert the front legs
fully into the front sockets. The location of the holes in
each leg is not important at this stage. Lock them by
tightening the round knobs
• T urn the router stand right way up and test that all feet
sit level on the ground. If on an uneven surface make
any necessary adjustments by extending one of the
legs slightly from its socket to prevent the unit from
rocking
Router Stand RSA300 Accessories
• Four Hanging Hooks (F) are supplied with the Triton
Router Stand RSA300; these snap onto the lower tubes
of the stand
• The two wide hooks are used for storage of the router
table fence - it hangs via the scale pointer holes. These
hooks should be fitted to the right hand side of the
stand (viewed from the switchbox end)
• The two narrow hooks are for storage of the pressure
finger assembly, which hangs via the finger slots.
These hooks should be fitted on the left side
g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc.
in accordance with these instructions, taking into
account the working conditions and the work to
be performed. Use of the power tool for operations
different from those intended could result in a
hazardous situation.
5) Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair
person using only identical replacement parts.
This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is
maintained.
• The RSA300 also has a hole in the rear panel for
storage of the protractor. For a tight fit, bend the tab in
the top of the hole downward slightly
Switchbox operation
• Before connecting the power, practice switching on and
off.
• Press the green switch with your finger to switch the
power 'ON'. Tap the stop plate with your hand to switch
'OFF'
• Make sure the switch is 'OFF', plug your power tool into
the switchbox inside the front panel, and bring power to
the switchbox via an extension cord
Storing the legs
• The legs have a convenient onboard storage location.
• Loosen the round knobs and remove the legs from their
sockets
• Slide the front legs inside the rear legs, ensuring that
the holes in each tube line up
• Insert the legs through the cut-outs in the rear panel
and into the cut-outs in the front panel with their holes
facing outwards (FIG. 2)
• Engage the holes in the legs over the tabs on the rear
panel cut-outs and rotate the latches to lock the legs in
position.
Wheel Kit
• The Triton Compact Wheel Kit (AWA100) fits this Router
Stand for easy mobility
• When fitting the Wheel Kit to the rear legs, ensure the
wheels are not fitted to the same side as the holes in
the legs
