3. Insert 3 identical type batteries of MICRO/AAA/R03 type into the battery compartment.
Observe the correct polarity of the batteries when inserting.
Fill with corns/grains
CAUTION:
If salt grains are too coarse/large and hard, they may block the grinding mechanism. In
this case, proceed as described under "Troubleshooting → Blocked grinding mechanism".
NOTE:
•
The optimum salt grain size is 3 mm.
•
The grains can be poured in more easily using a funnel.
4. Pour the grains into the filling slots of the storage chamber:
•
The storage chamber above the white grinding mechanism is designed for salt.
•
The storage chamber above the grey grinding mechanism is designed for pepper.
Close the housing
5. On the body and the storage chamber you will find the symbols ( ● and ▲).
•
Position the body of the mill in such a way that the top dot lies above the triangle.
•
Turn the mill body clockwise until it audibly clicks into place.
The body of the mill is properly locked into place when the two points are aligned above
one another.
Adjust the grinding grade
6. Turn the wing nuts
•
clockwise, to grind the grain/corns finer.
•
anti-clockwise to grind the grains/corns coarsely.
NOTE:
If the grinding grade is too coarse, the wing nuts may come loose from the shafts. In
this case, proceed as described under "Troubleshooting → Assembling the grinding
mechanism".
To grind the grains/corns, press one of the two buttons:
•
"S" for salt
•
"P" for pepper
