Connect the chosen (and correct) connector to the universal connector on the output cable
of the power adapter.
Step 3. Connecting the Device
Plug the connector into the corresponding port on the laptop (device) (fig. D). Check your
device. It should indicate that it is now receiving power.
To power a device with a USB charging port, you can also use the USB A connection on the
adapter – see Step 2 above. However, the adapter is not primarily designed for charging
USB devices. Some devices may not charge, or may charge slower than with an original
charger.
