On/Off switch (21)

The On/Off switch (21) is located on the right foot of the lathe for quick, easy and safe access.
- Press the green button marked (I) to turn the lathe on.
- Press the red button marked (O) to turn the lathe off.

5.2 Rotation speed knob (22)

The rotation speed knob (22) controls the desired spindle revolutions per minute (RPM).
The lathe has three speed ranges:
- 250-750 rpm;
- 550-1650 rpm;
- 1300-3850 rpm.
See the speed chart hereunder for recommended speeds based on the diameter of the workpieces.

5.3 Forward/Reverse switch (23)

This toggle switch (23) will change the direction that the spindle turns: counter-clockwise (forward) or clockwise
(reverse).
CAUTION:
Only change rotation direction when the spindle has completely stopped. Should the switch be changed
while the lathe is operating, the machine will automatically turn off in 'protection' mode. The Digital Readout will
show an error reading.
- Turn off the lathe's On/Off switch (21) and the digital reading will go out, and the control box will reset.
- Then put the Forward/Reverse switch (23) to the desired setting (FWD or REV) and the lathe can be turned back
on to continue your work.
NOTE:
THE MACHINE MUST NOT BE PLUGGED IN AND THE POWER SWITCH MUST BE IN THE OFF POSITION
UNTIL ALL ADJUSTMENTS ARE COMPLETE.

5.4 Rotation speed digital readout (24)

Displays the spindle's speed (rpm) as set by the RPM knob (22).

5.5 Error codes

Under certain conditions, the digital display will show error codes to indicate the nature of a particular error with the
machine or its use.
