Pin 2 functions as a transparent, bidirectional digital IO channel
between Base and Remote. An additional Y-splitter is required for
an IO-Link diagnostic channel (communication channel for the
diagnostic data of the BIC system via IO-Link) (see User's Guide).

CAUTION
Danger of burns from hot surfaces
The housing and especially the active surface will heat up
under normal operating conditions. There is a risk of burn
injuries! The heat must therefore be dissipated in the best
possible way.
► Select heat dissipating fastenings (metallic clamps
with large surface area) or ensure good ventilation
and dimensioning of the system.
NOTICE
Product damage
In metallic environments there is a risk of damage to the
BIC system due to induction effects.
► Make sure that distances from metallic objects are
observed!
Minimum distances to avoid mutual interference
A = > 70 mm
Minimum distances for installation in metal
A = > 20 mm (lateral
B = > 15 mm (distance from
Active surface
► Mount the BIC system in such a way that the distances
are observed and that the best possible heat
dissipation can be achieved (through well-chosen
fastenings (metallic clamps with large surface area) or
through good ventilation and dimensioning of the
system.
► stall the components so that there are no metallic
objects in the zone resulting from distances A and B.
The distances A and B must be maintained
independently of each other!!
