22. Handling
Observe the safety information and all other information in these operating instructions!
• Place the device on a level, stable, sufficiently large area. Do not place the device on any valuable furniture because
it may cause impressions or scratches. Use a suitable pad if required.
• The following unfavourable conditions are to be avoided at the place of installation or during transport:
- direct solar irradiation
- dampness or high humidity
- extreme cold or heat
- dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents
- strong vibration
- strong magnetic fields as present near machines or loudspeakers
• Never use the device immediately after it was taken from a cold into a warm environment. The resulting condensation
may destroy the device. Allow the device to reach room temperature before switching it on. This may take several
hours.
• Ensure that the entire product insulation is not damaged or destroyed. Do not disassemble the device.
• Check the product for damage before each use!
If you discover any damage, do not operate the product anymore. Take the product to a specialist workshop or dispose
of it environmentally compatibly.
• If the device is not taken into operation for an extended period of time, remove the inserted batteries. Aged batteries
may leak and damage the device.
• Never push any pointy objects into the ventilation slots and openings; this would damage the device.
• When setting up the product, make sure that no connection cable is bent or pinched.
• Install all cables so that no one will trip on them.
• Regularly verify the technical safety of the product e.g. for a damaged casing.
If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, the device must be turned off and precautions are to be
taken to ensure that it is not used unintentionally. Switch off the product, remove the inserted batteries or disconnect
it from the external mains adapter.
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if
- the device shows any visible damage,
- the device no longer functions and if
- the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for an extended period of time or
- after it was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.
23. Maintenance and Cleaning
The product does not require any maintenance. Never open or disassemble it. Repairs must only be carried out by a specialist or
specialist workshop.
A dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient to clean the product.
Do not press too hard on the casing when cleaning. This may cause scratches or damage to the LC display.
We recommend protecting the product from dust with a suitable cover if it is not in use for an extended period of time.
