parts of the unit.
Be extra careful during cleaning and servicing.
APPLICATION
The Classic Coffee Maker 1.5L can be used to make
filter coffee.
FEATURES
The coffee maker has the following features:
On/off switch with illuminated on-off indicator
Water level indicator
Removable funnel
Glass jar, capacity: 1.5 litre

FIRST USE

Check that all accessories are complete and the
unit is not damaged. Fill the water tank to the
maximum level on the water gauge and brew water
several times without coffee grounds, discarding the
water each time. Clean and dry all detachable parts
thoroughly according to the section "CLEANING AND
MAINTENANCE".
USE
1. Open the top cover and fill the water tank with
cold drinking water.
NOTE: Do not fill the water tank beyond the
maximum level as indicated on the water gauge. The
appliance can brew 12 big or 15 small cups of coffee
each brewing cycle.
2. Put a paper filter into the funnel with the correct
fit.
3. Add suitable coffee grounds into the paper
filter. Usually, one cup of coffee requires one
level teaspoon of coffee grounds, but you may
wish to adjust this according to personal taste.
Then replace the top cover.
4. Insert the glass carafe with lid onto the warming
plate, sliding it in horizontally, ensuring that
the center line of the carafe aligns with that of
the funnel.
5. Plug the unit into a socket.
6. Press the switch; the indicator in it will be
illuminated and the appliance will begin
working.
Note: The brewing process can be interrupted
by pressing the switch again at any time and the
indicator in it will go off, indicating your coffee maker
is turned off.
NOTE: The appliance is designed with a pause-
and-serve feature: if you wish, at any time during
the brewing cycle, you can temporarily remove the
carafe to pour and serve a cup of hot coffee. The
brewing cycle will not be interrupted and no coffee
will drip from the appliance. Simply replace glass
carafe onto warming plate to restart the brewing
cycle. But do not remove the glass carafe for longer
than 30 seconds, and never return an empty carafe
to the warming plate when it is still warm.
7. Remove the carafe to serve when brewing has
finished.
NOTE: The amount of liquid coffee you get will be
less than the amount of the water you have added,
as some water is absorbed by the coffee grounds
residue in the filter.
CAUTION: When pouring coffee, the angle at which
you incline the carafe must not exceed 45 degrees
from vertical. You should pour out the coffee slowly
until the carafe is empty, otherwise the coffee in
the carafe will rush to the bottom of the carafe lid
and the coffee will overflow the brim of the lid and
could scald people!
8. After brewing, the appliance will automatically
switch to the warming mode, which will continue
to keep your coffee warm for 40 minutes. After
40 minutes in warming mode, the appliance will
cut off automatically. For optimum taste,
however, serve the coffee just after brewing.
9. Always turn the coffee maker off and unplug it
when not in use.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

CAUTION: Be sure to unplug this appliance
before cleaning and let the appliance cool down
completely. To protect against electrical shock, do
not immerse the cord, plug or unit in water or other
liquid.
Clean all detachable parts after each use in hot
sudsy water.
Wipe the external surfaces of product with a soft,
damp cloth to remove stains.
NOTE: Do not attempt to clean the inside of the
water tank, as this will leave a residue of lint and
may clog your coffee maker. Simply rinse with cold
water periodically.
