Engine driven appliances: beware of sharp
and/or moving parts. Always keep your hands
away from the moving parts when using,
cleaning or servicing the appliance.
Heating devices: wait until the appliance has
cooled down before you touch the housing and
parts of the unit.
Be extra careful during cleaning and servicing.
APPLICATION
The Compact Coffee Maker Deluxe 0.6L can be used
to make filter coffee.
FEATURES
The coffee maker has the following features:
1. On/off switch
2. Water level indicator
3. Glass jar, capacity: 0.6 litre
4. Illuminated on-off indicator

FIRST USE

Check that all accessories are complete and the unit
is not damaged. Fill the water tank to the maximum
level on the water gauge and brew water several times
without coffee grounds, discarding the water each time.
Clean and dry all detachable parts thoroughly according
to the section "CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE".
USE
1. Open the top cover and fill the water tank with
cold drinking water.
NOTE: Do not fill the water tank beyond the maximum
level as indicated on the water gauge. The appliance
can brew 4 big or 5 small cups of coffee each brewing
cycle.
2. Insert a coffee filter size 1x2.
3. Put ground coffee of your choice in the filter. On
average you need one level tablespoon of ground
coffee for each cup of coffee. Of course, this can
be adapted according to taste. Replace the lid.
4. Insert the glass carafe with lid onto the warming
plate, sliding it in horizontally, ensuring that
the center line of the carafe aligns with that of
the funnel.
5. Plug the unit into a socket.
6. Press the switch; the indicator will be illuminated
and the appliance will begin working.
NOTE: The brewing process can be interrupted
by pressing the switch again at any time and the
indicator will go off, indicating your coffee maker is
turned off.
NOTE: The appliance is designed with a pause-and-
serve feature: if you wish, at any time during the
brewing cycle, you can temporarily remove the carafe
to pour and serve a cup of hot coffee. The brewing cycle
will not be interrupted and no coffee will drip from the
appliance. Simply replace glass carafe onto warming
plate to restart the brewing cycle. But do not remove
the glass carafe for longer than 30 seconds, and never
return an empty carafe to the warming plate when it is
still warm.
7.
Remove the carafe to serve when brewing has
finished.
NOTE: The amount of liquid coffee you get will be less
than the amount of the water you have added, as some
water is absorbed by the coffee grounds residue in the
filter.
CAUTION: When pouring coffee, the angle at which you
incline the carafe must not exceed 45 degrees from
vertical. You should pour out the coffee slowly until the
carafe is empty, otherwise the coffee in the carafe will
rush to the bottom of the carafe lid and the coffee will
overflow the brim of the lid and could scald people!
8. After brewing, the appliance will automatically
switch to the warming mode, which will continue
to keep your coffee warm for 30 minutes. After
30 minutes in warming mode, the appliance will
cut off automatically. For optimum taste,
however, serve the coffee just after brewing.
9. Always turn the coffee maker off and unplug it
when not in use.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

CAUTION: Always remove the plug from the socket and
allow the appliance to cool down completely before you
clean it. Never immerse the power cord, the plug or the
electrical appliance in water or any other liquid as this
will cause an electric shock.
Clean all detachable parts after each use in hot
sudsy water.
Wipe the external surfaces of product with a soft,
damp cloth to remove stains.
NOTE: Do not attempt to clean the inside of the water
tank, as this will leave a residue of lint and may clog
your coffee maker. Simply rinse with cold water
periodically.
Water droplets may build up in the area above
the funnel and drip onto the base of the
appliance during brewing. To control the
dripping, wipe off the area with a clean, dry cloth
after each use of the appliance.
Replace all parts and store for next use.
DESCALING
To keep your coffee maker operating efficiently, you
should periodically clean away the mineral deposits left
by the water. The frequency of this will be dictated by
the water quality in your area and the frequency of use.
We recommend removing mineral deposits as follows:
