maintained, the vibration level may differ. This can signific-
antly increase the exposure to vibration over the total work-
ing period.
To estimate the exposure to vibration accurately, the times
when the tool is switched off or when it is running but not ac-
tually being used should also be taken into account. This can
significantly reduce the exposure to vibration over the total
working period.
Implement additional safety measures to protect the oper-
ator from the effects of vibration, such as servicing the
power tool and application tools, keeping the hands warm,
and organising workflows correctly.
Fitting
Battery Charging (see figure A)
Use only the power adaptors listed in the technical
u
data. Only these power adaptors are matched to the lith-
ium-ion battery of your power tool.
Note: The battery is supplied partially charged. To ensure
the maximum performance of the battery, use the power ad-
aptor to fully charge the battery before first use.
The lithium-ion battery can be charged at any time without
reducing its service life. Interrupting the charging process
does not damage the battery.
The lithium-ion battery is protected against deep discharge
by the "Electronic Cell Protection (ECP)". When the battery
is discharged, the power tool is switched off by means of a
protective circuit: The application tool stops moving.
Do not continue to press the On/Off switch after the
u
power tool has automatically switched off. The battery
can be damaged.
To charge the battery, connect the USB Type-C™ port (2) to
the power adaptor (9) via the USB cable (10). Plug the
power adaptor into a plug socket. The charging process will
begin.
The battery charge indicator (3) indicates the charging pro-
gress. During the charging process, the power tool is deac-
tivated and cannot be used.
If you are not planning to use the power tool again soon, dis-
connect the power adaptor (9) from the mains.
Battery charge indicator
The battery charge indicator (3) displays the battery's state
of charge for a few seconds when switching on the power
tool. When charging, the battery charge indicator goes out a
few minutes after the battery has been fully charged.

Note: If the battery charge indicator is flashing white, the
temperature is outside the permitted temperature range.
Once the permitted temperature range has been reached
again, the charging process automatically resumes or the
power tool can be used once again.
Adjusting the Hood (see figure B)
Note: If the grinding disc breaks during operation or the
holding fixtures on the hood/power tool become damaged,
the power tool must be sent to the after-sales service imme-
diately; see the "After-Sales Service and Application Service"
section for addresses.
Turn the hood to the required position and ensure that the
hood is engaged. No tool is required for this.
Fitting the abrasive tools
Do not touch grinding and cutting discs until they have
u
cooled down. The discs can become very hot while work-
ing.
Only change the abrasive tool when the power tool is
u
locked (see "Switching on/off", page 22).
Clean the grinding spindle (12) and all parts to be mounted.
To tighten or loosen the abrasive tools, press the spindle
lock button (6) and simultaneously turn the grinding tool to
fix the grinding spindle in place.
Do not press the spindle lock button while the grind-
u
ing spindle is moving. The power tool may become dam-
aged if you do this.
Sanding plate/cutting disc
Pay attention to the dimensions of the abrasive tools. The
diameter of the hole must match that of the mounting flange.
Do not use an adapter or reducer.
To remove the grinding/cutting disc (8), press the spindle
lock button (6) while simultaneously turning on the grinding/
cutting disc (8) in order to fix the grinding spindle (12) in
place. Use the hex key of the transportation cover (13) to re-
move the clamping bolt with washer (15). Take off the grind-
ing/cutting disc (8). (See figure C).
To secure the grinding/cutting disc (8), press the spindle
lock button (6). Screw in the clamping bolt with
washer (15). Tighten the clamping bolt using the hex key of
the transportation cover (13) until the washer of the clamp-
ing bolt is flush with the grinding/cutting disc (8). (See fig-
ure D).
