Flashlights
The Macro Ring Flash MRF 3500 has a fl ashlight
with the guide number 6 on both sides.
These can be separately activated and deacti-
vated by a switch which is located on the back
of the unit. To activate the selected fl ash lamp,
simply position the switch at "ON".
AF auxiliary light
The AF auxiliary light is situated at the top and
bottom on the front of the housing. It serves to
focus in poor lighting conditions but only if the
CULLMANN D 3500 which is required for this is in
the TTL mode.
Special instructions
Only use the Macro Ring Flash MRF 3500 with the
CULLMANN 3500 C fl ash unit for Canon cameras
or the CULLMANN 3500 N fl ash unit for Nikon
cameras
Never use a fl ash in direct proximity to the eyes!
Always keep a minimum distance of 1 metre
when taking portrait photos as this could otherwi-
se result in visual impairments.
Ensure that the fl ash tubes are unable to overheat
by allowing the Macro Ring Flash MRF 3500 to
cool down for approx. 5 minutes after you have
taken 10 photos in rapid succession.

Do not clean the unit with petroleum, thinners or
other solvents.
Please only clean it with a dry cloth (microfi bre
cloth)
Do not subject the unit to excessive heat and
sun radiation. Temperatures exceeding 40°C can
cause damage to electronic components and
therefore, the function of the unit.
Please especially ensure that you do not leave the
unit in your car in summer.
The CULLMANN Macro Ring Flash MRF 3500 con-
tains sensitive electronic modules. Please there-
fore protect the unit from shocks and impacts, in
addition to other incorrect treatment.
The Macro Ring Flash MRF 3500 is not water-
proof. Rain and moisture can cause irreparable
damage to the unit.
Control unit for the CULLMANN
Macro Ring Flash MRF 3500
In order for you to use the CULLMANN Macro
Ring Flash MRF 3500, you require the CULLMANN
D 3500 fl ash unit as a control unit. Please only use
the CULLMANN D 3500 fl ash unit as a control unit.
The use of other fl ash units with the CULLMANN
Macro Ring Flash MRF 3500 can cause irreparable
damage to the camera, the Macro Ring Flash MRF
3500 and the fl ash control unit which you use.
The following CULLMANN fl ash units in the
D 3500 series are currently available for the
CULLMANN Macro Ring Flash MRF 3500 as a
control unit:
CULLMANN D 3500 C for Canon cameras
CULLMANN D 3500 N for Nikon cameras
