FM
Note : When in pre-set mode, you only have access
to stored pre-set stations. The display will indicate
ALL FREE if there are no stored stations.
POSITIONING THE ANTENNA (RF LEVEL)
• Tune FM to a strong local station (ex : BBC).
• Press the RF LEVEL key.
◊ The display will indicate the level of reception on a
scale of 0 to 9. The higher the number, the stronger
the signal.
• Move the antenna until you obtain the strongest
possible signal.
Note : It is not always possible to obtain maximum
reception level with a dipole antenna. It is always
preferable to use an externally mounted device.
STBY
The STBY key on the remote control handset allows
you to put the all system in standby mode
simultaneously.
uDISPLAYt
These two keys enable you to adjust simultaneously
the brightness of the displays of each unit to either
high or low luminosity.
CD
The CD key of the remote control handset brings CD
into operational mode. It also switches on AMP and
selects automatically the Cd input.
FM
The FM key of the remote control handset brings FM
into operational mode. It also switches on AMP and
selects automatically the Tuner input.
AVP
The AVP key of the remote control handset brings
AVP into operational mode. It also switches on AMP
and selects automatically the AVP mode.
When AMP is set in AVP mode, AMP is put
automatically to maximum volume to enable the
control of the full Audio/Video system volume through
AVP.
It is important to put AMP in AVP mode ONLY if
you possess and have connected the AVP
processor.
To safeguard against the damage that WILL be
caused through misuse of the AVP mode, it is
necessary to confirm your choice of the AVP mode by
a second pressing of the AVP key.
Should you accidentally press on the AVP key of
the remote control handset, a single press of any
system key ( CD or FM ) will return AMP to normal
operation.
AMP
The AMP key of the remote control handset brings
AMP into operational mode.
