FM TUNER FRONT PANEL
1 DISPLAY : Provides all operational information.
2 STAND-BY : To switch the unit in and out of
Standby mode. A single bar illuminates when in
Standby mode.
3 RF LEVEL : Shows the level of reception.
4 MONO : Switches reception between MONO and
STEREO.
5 MEMORY : To store pre-set stations.
6 SCANNING : To place the unit into automatic
station search mode.
7 MODE : To switch between MANual or Pre-set
operation.
8 ROTARY CONTROL : To access Frequency or Pre-
set selection.

FM
MEMORY : Blinks to indicate that the memory has
been opened in order to store a pre-set station.
FM : Indicates the frequency range and that the unit is
locked to a transmitting station.
: Indicates the frequency, the mode of
operation and the selected pre-set number.
STEREO : Indicates
that
transmitting in Stereo mode.
MHz : Indicates the frequency band.
MANUAL TUNING
Manual tuning is useful when you already know the
frequency of the desired station. The display will
indicate MAN to show that you are in MANual mode.
• Turn the central rotary control to the desired
frequency. During operation of the central rotary
control, audio outputs will be muted.
◊ The display will indicate FM when the tuner is
locked successfully onto a strong enough incoming
signal.
◊ The STEREO indicator will appear if the station
transmits in stereo mode.

Note:. Whilst in Manual mode the rotary control
allows access to different speeds of adjustment. If you
turn slowly it will increment in single steps. Fast
rotation increases the speed of the steps. This will
allow you to move to the desired frequency with great
ease.
AUTOMATIC SEARCH (SCANNING)
Automatic search (scanning) allows you to scan the
frequency band upwards ( short press ) or downwards
( long press ).
• Press on the SCANNING key ( short or long press
depending upon the desired scanning direction ) FM
will start to scan until it finds the next station of
sufficient strength, whereupon the FM indicator will
light.
• If this is not a desired station, please repeat the
operation.
Note : The display indicates SCN whilst scanning and
returns to MAN once it has locked to a station.
PRESET STATIONS
Through the pre-set mode you can store and access
up to 19 stations.
To store a station
• Locate the station that you wish to store either by
manual or scanning mode.
• Press once on the MEMORY key to open the
memory.
◊ The display will indicate the first available pre-set
(ex. : P5) or P- - should the memory be empty. The
MEMORY indicator will blink.
• Select the desired pre-set number (from 1 to 19)
with the central rotary control.
• Press the MEMORY key to store your selection.
Repeat this process to store your other selected
is
stations.
Note : Any station that you store to an existing pre-set
will automatically overwrite the previous stored
station.
Access to pre-set stations
• Press the MODE key to access the pre-set mode.
• The display will indicate the pre-set number and
the corresponding frequency.
• Turn the central rotary control to access the
desired pre-set number.
• In order to return to manual mode, press the
MODE key.
