Light Recipe
The iSpectrum+ allows the user a certain individualization of the emitted light spectrum using the two
dimming switches GROW & BLOOM. Generally speaking, the GROW channel leads to a short and bushy
growth and smaller leaf size in most plant varieties, while the BLOOM channel leads to an elongated
growth with larger leaves. Both channels (fSpectrum+; iSpectrum+ GROW & BLOOM) provide a continuous
light spectrum, which is suitable for all plant varieties in all growth stages. Under the full spectrum of
light, the plants grow with a natural shape, similar to under sunlight. The user is free to adjust the light
spectrum to the plants and a guidance towards the recommendations of light recipes is listed below.

GROW & BLOOM*
GROW
BLOOM
Are the plants intended for human consumption and assuming that taste plays a major role, we recommend
the exposure of the plants at least 5 days before harvesting only with the GROW channel. A high proportion
of blue in the light stimulates the production of flavors and colors in all plants. When using individual
channels and / or when dimming, one must be careful to adjust / reduce the distance of the iSpectrum+
module to the plants, since a lower intensity leads to a lower photosynthesis rate in the plant.
The right amount, setting and distance of the f/iSpectrum+ modules - as provided in the tables above - has
always proven successful following the above guide.
Auto Soft-Start
The iSpectrum+ has an automatic mechanism that gently increases the light intensity in order to reduce light
stress in the plants at power up. This is caused by the sudden change from dark to high light intensities. If
you operate the iSpectrum+ on a timer, the power will be ramped up to the preset intensity of the GROW &
BLOOM channels.
