5. Instructions for assembly

Before using the following ladders,
the proper crossbar must be
installed:
Single ladders
Item no.
7112-xxx, 7115-xxx, 7118-xxx
Extension ladders
Item no.
7209-xxx, 7212-xxx, 7215-xxx, 7218-xxx
Rope-pull ladders
Item no.
7285-xxx, 7288-xxx
The ladder must only be used with the
crossbar installed.
1. Prepare ladder.
Lay down ladder and position it so that the opening
for the crossbar [C] on the ladder is readily acces-
sible.
On the extension ladder and the rope pull ladder,
the extension section (A-2) must also be unlatched
and latched again.
(See Section 6.2 Handling the extension ladder and
Section 6.3 Handling the Rope pull ladder).
2. Installing the crossbar:
Insert the spacer sleeves [C-1] in both holes of
the oval tubing and place the crossbar [C] into the
ladder part's slot [A-1].
Firmly screw the crossbar onto the two ladder
side rails.
