6. Disposal

The main purpose of the 2012/19/EEC Directive is to prevent the
creation of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and
to reduce the amount of waste to be disposed of by encouraging
reuse, recycling, and other forms of recovery.
Batteries must be disposed of in compliance with relevant national
regulatory requirements.
