5.2.2 USB INPUT CONFIGURATION
The user's transport stream file, converted to the correct .TS format, will be included in the program list and it
can be distributed in the output MUX, together with any programs received from the digital terrestrial inputs.
The correct .TS file can be created from a generic .AVI audio/video file, using specific conversion tools which
can be downloaded from the Internet. The file has to be stored in an external USB drive (flash key or hard disk)
and formatted in the filesystem FAT32.
To use the USB functions, connect the USB drive to the D-Matrix 8T, and enter the configuration page from
the homepage by clicking on "USB", or from the menu CONFIGURATION->INPUT->USB; the USB configura-
tion page opens as shown in the figure.

Flag the ENABLE checkbox to enable the USB drive. Select the required file in SELECT FILE. Click on SAVE to
save the configuration.
If the file has never been used, the system analyzes the file format and bitrate to perform an automatic con-
figuration, by creating a file with the same name but an .FR extension, where the analysis result is stored for
future use. In the right section, the lock led should turn on green to show that the file is being successfully
read. The transport stream data are shown in the fields on the bottom right. During the pre-analysis, which
can take a few minutes, the "uploading" status is shown.
When a file is started and the "File OK" green led status is shown, the .TS program is added to the list of input
programs and can also be added to the list of output programs.
