 Do not open any electrical boxes.
 Never use a 3-wire/2-wire adapter.
 The cable sheaths must be free of defects.
 Do not put your hands between the back of the table and the
column when the machine is on.
 Do not put your hands between the optics and the table when
the power is on.
General safety precautions must be followed when operating this
electrical equipment. Not following these precautions could damage
the equipment or injure personnel.
Safety rules vary between companies. If a conflict exists between
the content of this guide and the rules of the company using this
system, the more stringent rules should be applied.
A) Check the levelling of the machine by adjusting the levelling
feet.
B) Remove the red safety plates on the sides. 2 plates for Opti-
mum 150 and 4 plates for Opti-mum 200 and 200M.
C) Fit the X and Y handles on their drive axes.
D) Screw the scale cables to the MCA-190 and connect the
MCA-190 to the computer. Connect the 110/220V plug to the
mains. Turn on the switch if there is one.
E) Remove the carrying handles for the 200M.
