• There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Do not modify or repair the unit.
• Check the Protection module for visible defects before each use.
• The Protection module may only be operated within the specified

• Incorrect operation and improper installation can endanger your safety.

The Protection module is tested in accordance with the following stan-
dards:
• CB (EN/IEC 62368-1, EN/IEC 61010-1, EN/IEC 61010-2-201)
• UL (UL/CSA 62368-1, UL 1310 NEC CLASS 2*)
Intended use
The RACPRO-4SP units are four-channel Protection modules with integrat-
ed electronic fuses for 24V systems, designed for DIN rail mounting. These
devices distribute the current to four output channels. Each channel's out-
put current can be individually adjusted. All RACPRO-4SP devices come
with push-in terminals for fast and easy wiring.

Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Die RACPRO1-4SP-Einheiten sind Vierkanal-Schutzmodule
inegrierten elektronischen Sicherungen für 24V-Systeme, die
für die Montage auf DIN-Schienen konzipiert sind. Diese Geräte
verteilen den Strom auf vier Ausgangskanäle. Der Ausgangsstrom jedes
Kanals kann individuell eingestellt werden. Alle RACPRO1-4SP-Geräte
werden mit Push-in-Klemmmen für eine schnelle und einfach Verdrah-
tung geliefert.

To install the Protection module, proceed as follows:
Step Description
1 Before any installation or maintenance work, disconnect the
application from all power sources for at least 5 minutes and
secure it against unintentional reconnection.
2 Place the device on the DIN rail with a slight downward tilt. Snap
the device onto the DIN rail. The device must be mounted so that
the input terminals are at the bottom and the output terminals
are at the top.
3 Any usage which does not comply with the specifications may
decrease the performance, damage the device or impair the
protection provided by the equipment.
Putting the Unit into operation
Important! Before applying power, ensure that the rated output
current and voltage of the electronic fuse meet the requirements of
the application.

> Wenden Sie sich bei Problemen an den RECOM Techsupport
Um das Schutzmodul zu installieren, gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
Schritt Beschreibung
1 Vor allen Installations- und Wartungsarbeiten ist das Gerät für-
mindestens 5 Minuten von allen Spannungsquellen zu trennen
und gegen unbeabsichtigtes Wiedereinschalten zu sichern.
2 Setzen Sie das Gerät mit einer leichten Neigung nach unten
auf die Hutschiene und rasten Sie es ein. Das Gerät ist so zu
montieren, dass die Eingangsklemmen unten und die Ausgangs-
klemmen oben sind.
3 Jede nicht spezifikationsgemäße Verwendung kann zu
Leistungseinbußen führen, Schäden am Gerät hervorrufen
oder den vom Gerät gebotenen Schutz beeinträchtigen.
Inbetriebnahme des Schutzmoduls
Wichtig: Stellen Sie vor dem Anschließen der Leistung sicher, dass
der Nennausgangsstrom und die Nennspannung des Schutzmoduls
den Anforderungen der Anwendung entsprechen.

Safe operation of the Unit
Operate the electronic fuse only according to the conditions and the ambi-
ent temperatures listed in the Specifications.
The electronic fuse should:
• not be operated if defective
• be installed in a controlled environment compliant with
pollution degree 2 (PD2)
• only be operated with connecting cables suitable for at least 105°C
Liability and warranty
RECOM Power GmbH assumes no responsibility and no liability for
damages if:
• the Protection module is used for purposes not listed in the
Intended use section
• the Protection module is operated outside of specification
• the Protection module is modified in any way
• the Protection module is improperly installed
• the Protection module is operated in a defective condition
• the Protection module is exposed to corrosive chemicals or gases
• the documentation is not kept up to date

Sicherer Betrieb des Schutzmoduls
Betreiben Sie das Schutzmodul nur unter jenen Bedingungen und
Umgebungstemperaturen, welche in den „Spezifikationen" angeführt
sind.
Folgendes ist zu beachten:
• nicht in defektem Zustand betreiben
• Installationen nur in einer kontrollierten Umgebung gemäß
Verschmutzungsgrad 2 (PD2) durchführen
• Nur Anschlusskabel, die für mindestens 105°C geeignet sind,
verwenden
Haftung und Gewährleistung
RECOM Power GmbH übernimmt keine Haftung und keine
Gewähr für Schäden, wenn:
• das Schutzmodul für andere Zwecke eingesetzt wird, als es
unter „Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung" beschrieben wurde
• durch unsachgemäße Bedienung Schaden entsteht
• Änderungen am Schutzmodul durchgeführt wurden
• das Schutzmodul unsachgemäß installiert wird
• das Schutzmodul in defektem Zustand betrieben wird
• das Schutzmodul chemischen Einflüssen ausgesetzt wird
• Dokumente nicht aktuell gehalten werden
