1. General

The CH- lifting clamps are specially designed for horizontal lifting and transportation of steel
plates. They consist of a housing and a cam segment. The cam segment is also used as a lifting
eyelet, and ensures that during lifting, the load is held firmly in place.

2. Operating principle

- The CH- lifting clamps are extremely well-suited for lifting and transporting steel plates and
structures, if they have a surface on which it is possible to place the clamp on a flat holding
or gripping point.
- The CH- lifting clamps should always be used in pairs or multiples thereof.
- The permissible position for using the clamps is:
- lifting and transporting plates out of the horizontal position.

3. SCOPE OF APPLICATION:

DANGER TO LIFE:
- Where several lifting clamps are used simultaneously, always use a lifting beam (balancer)
and adequate number of long hoisting slings or chains, so that the lifting eyelets of the
lifting clamps are never stressed laterally.
Take care to see that the clamp(s) are placed in such a manner that the load is in balance during
lifting.
CAUTION
:
Take care to see that the cam segment is never stressed laterally.
- A free fall or uncontrolled swinging on the crane hook, in which objects get moved about
may cause damage to the clamp. If this happens, the clamp should be checked for proper
functioning before use.
4. SAFETY REGULATIONS:
THINK OF YOUR PERSONAL SAFETY: FIRST READ THE FOLLOWING SAFETY REGULATIONS.
For your own safety and to maintain the safety of our product as well, the clamp must be

inspected at least once a year, tested, and if necessary an overhaul should be carried out by a
recognised repair firm.
