Connections
Connection of the external command unit OPEN - STOP - CLOSE
-
For external operation a 3-button input unit (e.g. KDT 3) can be connected to terminals X3, 4,
5, 6, 7. Optionally, a 3-button input unit can be connected to terminal X4. If this terminal block
is not used, then a jumper must bridge the stop contact
-
The leads of the external command devices must be laid with earth protection
(double insulation).
-
The two buttons for OPEN and CLOSE should be designed as normally open contacts.
Since the stop button is wired up in the safety circuit, it must be connected as a normally
closed contact.
The danger zone must be visible as deadman operation is carried out with
pushbuttons.
Limit switch connection
The OPEN and CLOSE limit switches and safety limit switches are connected to terminals 8, 9, and
10.
.
Connecting of direct safety switches
Safety elements which intervene directly in the controlling process are connected in series with the
stop contact.
This includes emergency off switch, integrated safety device, draw-in protection and wicket door
contact.
