• FITTING THE CANOPY ( FIG.1)
1. Draw two vertical lines item 1 up the wall from the centre of each chimney equidistant from the centre
of the cooking appliance below as illustrated in fig. 1.
2. Draw a horizontal line through the vertical at 650 + 310 mm when fitting above an electric hotplate
or at 700 + 310 mm when fitting above a gas hotplate as illustrated in fig. 1.
Mark the holes centres for the canopy fixing brackets item 4 as illustrated in fig. 1.
Drill the holes for the 2 fixing brackets using an 8 mm masonry bit and fix the brackets item 4 for
canopy using the 5 x 50 mm hexagonal screws and rawl plugs supplied.
3. Hook the canopy onto the wall brackets item 4 as illustrated fig. 1.
4. To ensure the cooker hood is aligned correctly adjust the screws on top of the canopy as illustrated
fig. 1
5. When the hood is aligned correctly mark the hole centre on the wall for the 2 security fixing screw
item 8 , which are located in the right hand brackets on top of the 2 motors housing of the canopy.
Unhook the canopy from the wall and the 2 holes for the 2 security fixing screws. Hook the canopy
onto the wall and fix the N° 5 x 50 mm headed screws and rawl plugs to secure the canopy to the
wall.
6. In the recirculation mode, remove the metal grease filters and insert the charcoal filters into the bases
of the 2 motor housing and secure the charcoal filters with the securing straps item A as illustrated
in fig. 2.
7. Fit the metal grease filters.
• FITTING THE CHIMNEY BRACKET
1. Draw a horizontal line through the 2 vertical 40 mm from the ceiling or from the point where the
chimney will terminate. Mark the hole centres for the upper chimney fixing bracket (Fig. 1, item 2 ).
Drill the holes using a 8 mm masonry bit. Fix the chimney support bracket using the N° 5 x 50 mm
hexagonal headed screws and rawl plugs (Fig. 3).
2.
In the recirculation mode fix the spigots onto the upper chimney fixing brackets using the same screws
and rawl plugs provided as illustrated in Fig. 4.
• DUCTING
The hood is more effective when used in the extraction mode ( ducted to the outside). When the cooker
hood is ducted to the outside, charcoal filters are not required.
The ducting used must be 150 mm (6 ins), rigid circular pipe and must be manufactured from fire retar-
dant material, produced to BS.476 or DIN 4102-B1. Wherever possible utilise rigid circular pipe which
has a smooth interior, rather than the expanding concertina type ducting.
Maximum length of ducting run :
-
4 metres with 1 x 90° bend.
-
3 metres with 2 x 90° bends.
-
2 metres with 3 x 90° bends.
The above assumes our 150 mm (6 ins) ducting is being installed. Please note ducting components
