and tighten the nuts from the
outside. Note: Don't forget
washers.
(3) Assemble the upper handlebar.
so that the switch box is facing
upwards. Insert the bolts from
inside as shown. N.B.! Don't forget
the washer between the wing nut
and the handlebar.
(4) Fasten the cables to the
handlebar with the clips.
(5) Assembly of grass collector
Insert steel frame into grass
collector bag.
Fasten plastic rails to the steel
frame.

(11) Starting your mower
Always start the mower in short
grass or on a flat surface. Press
the lock-off button on the
switchbox. Squeeze the start/stop
lever towards the handle. Release
the lock-off button. Start mowing
when the mower has reached full
speed. Note! Do not use the
start/stop lever intermittently.
(11) Stopping the mower
Release the pressure on start/stop
level.
(12) USE
Mowing on slopes can be
dangerouse. Do not mow on very
steep slopes. Always cut along the,
slope. Overloading the mower can
be avpided by making sure the
motor speed does not drop unduly.
In long grass a first cut with the
blade set higher will reduce the
load.
(13) Before mowing, objects such
as twigs, toys and stones should
be removed from the lawn.
Avoid running the blade over
foreign objects such as stones,
roots, etc., as it may cause engine
damage.
(14) Mow the lawn twice weekly
during the most active periods of
growth. Never cut more than 1/3 of
the length of the grass, especially
during dry periods. Mow with a
high cutting height setting the first
time. Examine the result and lower
the mower to the desired setting.
Mow slowly or mow the grass twice
if it is very long.
(15) If the ejection chute gets
glogged, do the following:
Disconnect the power cable
from the mower. Remove the
grass collector and clean the
ejection chute.
(16) MAINTENANCE
Always disconnect the electric
cable from the mower before
carrying out repairs, cleaning, or
maintenance. After a 5-hour
runnig-in period, tighteen all nuts
and bolts. Make a point of checking
all nuts and bolts regularly.
(17) After use
Hose down or brush off all grass,
leaves and dirt from the top side of
the mower. Remove grass from
under the deck and all air intakes.
(18) Annnually (after end of
season)
Grinding and balancing of blade:
Disconect the electric cable
from the mower. Inspect the blade
and, if necessary, have it ground
and balanced at a service
workshop, or replace with a new
blade.
The correct procedure for
assembling the blade is as follows:
1. Make sure the embossed mark
on the blade is facing the blower
wheel.
2. Assemble the blade bolt with
disc spring and the insulation
washer. Tighten the blade bolt
whith the spanner provided. Do
not use a longer spanner.
WARNING!
Use only the original insulated
blade bolt. It is dangerous to use
the blade bolt if the insulation is
damaged in any way. Always wear
protective gloves so as to avoid
hand injuries.
(19-20) If the switch box is faulty, it
must be replaced in its entirity.
Disassemble the switch as follows:
- First disconnect the power
cabie from the mower.
- Then remove the bolts (a) that
fasten the switch box to the
handlebar. See ill.
- Remove the motor cover and
disconnect the cables on the
motor. See ill.
Reassemble by following the same
procedure in revers order.
