2. Charging
To charge the EXM Pro10, plug it into an AC power source using the included power cord Whenever
AC is connected to the unit, based on the battery level, the right-most LED will start to blink, show-
ing that the unit is charging. The unit is charged when all five LEDs are illuminated and blinking
stops The EXM Pro10 can be used while charging The unit can be safely left connected to AC power to
charge indefinitely. It will intelligently control its own charging regime when connected long-term.
Note: The EXM Pro10 will not charge when the temperature is below 0°C or above 45°C.
Note: If the EXM Pro10 is going to be stored unused for a long period of time (more than 6 months),
it is advisable to periodically plug it in to charge the battery.
Note: If the EXM Pro10 has been stored for a long period of time without use and has not been main-
tained, it is advisable to connect the charger and leave it plugged in for approximately 24 hours.
3. Battery Performance Modes
The EXM Pro10 contains a Battery Performance switch that can be set to ex-
tend the battery life of the unit while operating on the battery In Full Pow-
er mode, no performance adjustments are made and the unit will operate
to its maximum potential In Extended Life mode, the maximum output and
dynamics of the system are adjusted to extend the total battery life of the
system A battery runtime of around 12 hours can still typically be achieved
in full power mode However, under heavier use conditions, extended life
mode may be desirable if a long battery runtime is required
Note: If AC is connected to the unit, the state of this switch is bypassed and the unit will only operate
in Full Power mode.
Battery life under strenuous conditions (music with heavy bass content at maximum output) will be
a minimum of 36 hours in full power mode and a minimum of 65 hours in extended life mode
Additional Features
1. Auto-Standby
The EXM Pro10 features a "sleep" mode that reduces energy consumption when the system is not in
use to preserve battery life The unit will go to sleep/standby after approximately 10 minutes of inac-
tivity While in standby, the unit will exit standby and resume normal operation once a signal is pres-
ent on any of the inputs
Note: This mode is disabled whenever AC is connected to the unit or when the battery performance
switch is in full power mode. To ensure that the sleep state does not interfere with normal operation, the
output level should be controlled with the Master control, especially when quiet playback is desired.
2. Factory Reset
This feature allows the user to reset the system to its default settings, which include Input Type, EQ,
Effects, and Master channel mode To perform a factory reset, hold down the channel select number 1
and 3 for 5 seconds
3. USB Power Output
A USB power port is included on the EXM Pro10, this port provides a fixed
output of 5V with up to 500mA of current and is intended for power delivery
only Typically, this port would be used to charge another small battery-
powered device, such as a cell phone
5
The EXM Pro10 is delivered with 20-30%
of the charge capacity. Please charge your unit
for 5-hours prior to initial battery operation!
