• Always observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are connected to the
product.
• Consult a technician if you are not sure how to use or connect the product.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs must be done by a technician or an authorized repair centre.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, contact our technical
support service or other technical personnel.
b) Product
• The device must not be used near bath tubs, showers, swimming pools or washbasins. The product
must not get wet.
• The device may only be operated in moderate climates, never in tropical climates.
• Do not listen to excessively loud music over an extended period of time. This may damage your hearing.
• WARNING! Do not open device. This may result in an electrical shock!
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into a warm one. The
condensation generated may destroy the product. The mains adapter may also generate a fatal electric
shock! Allow the product to reach room temperature before connecting it and putting it to use. This may
take several hours.
• Never pour any liquids over electrical devices or place objects filled with liquid next to or on the product.
If liquid or an object does enter the interior of the device, power down the respective socket (e.g. switch
off the circuit breaker), and then remove the mains plug from the mains socket. Discontinue use and take
the product to a specialist repair centre.
• Keep the appliance's openings free. Do not insert any sharp objects into the appliance. This may result
in an electrical shock!
• Do not place the product in direct proximity to heat sources such as heaters, ovens or stoves. Also, do
not place the product in the proximity of other amplifiers that generate heat.
• Do not place the product in the vicinity of magnetic fields (such as other speakers) and microwaves. Do
not place the product directly on an amplifier or receiver.
• Ensure that you mount the product correctly (see "8. Initial operation", "b) Set-up/mounting" section on
page 33), otherwise there is a risk of a fatal electric shock!
• Do not place any objects with open flames (such as candles) on or next to the product.
c) Mains cable/Connection
• The product and the mains adapter are constructed according to protection class II. Only proper mains
electrical outlets may be used as a voltage source.
