In a bedroom or in rooms remote form a fuel burning appliance

Mount the Carbon Monoxide Alarm relatively close to the breathing
(see figure 2).

Ensure that residents can see the LED lamp.

WARNING: Do not use the Carbon Monoxide Alarm on an intermittent basis, or as a portable
detector for the leakage of combustion products from fuel burning appliances or chimneys.
Reach test
●
Check the gateway to see if the alarm is turned off. The light (Status) and the light (Online) are
both green.
●
Press the "Reset" button on the side of the gateway for at least 7 seconds. At the gateway the
light (Status) flashes green. The gateway is now ready to test an already connected Carbon
Monoxide Detector.
●
Press the button on the Carbon Monoxide Detector. If the Carbon Monoxide Detector falls
within range of the gateway, the gateway and the Carbon Monoxide Detector will give two
beeps.
●
If you do not hear a confirmation tone on the gateway, the Carbon Monoxide Detector may be
out of range of the gateway. Move the Carbon Monoxide Detector and repeat the range testing.
●
When you are finished testing, press the "Reset" button of the gateway again for at least 7
seconds. The gateway returns to normal operation
