Do not electrify barbed wire or razor wire. These materials can trap animals
•
or people, resulting in severe injury or death.
Avoid placing your head or neck near the electrified fence. Accidental
•
contact may occur while testing voltage or placing stakes in the ground. Take
precautions to avoid this.
Install cut-out switches where maintenance is required. This allows safe
•
disconnection during repairs or inspections.
Keep children and pets away during setup. Never allow anyone to touch the
•
electrified fence, and ensure children, pets, and others are not nearby.
Ensure the amperage remains low to prevent injury.
•
Display warning signs clearly. Signs should be placed on all fences at
•
intervals not exceeding 10 meters. The signs must face outward and include
the necessary warning symbols.
Place warning signs on both sides of fences with access. If an area allows
•
entry from both sides, ensure warnings are visible from both directions.
Position warning signs at appropriate heights. The signs should be placed
•
1.5 meters (150 cm) above ground level. In areas where children may be
present, repeat signs at 0.8 meters (80 cm) height.
Install warning signs near public roads or pathways. If the fence is near a
•
public road or path, install frequent warning signs and ensure they are clearly
visible.
Install non-electrified gates at public crossings. When an electric fence
•
crosses a public path, non-electrified gates or stiles must be provided for safe
crossing.
Signs should be at least 200 mm x 100 mm in size, with yellow backgrounds
•
and black text.
Never tamper with the energizer or its components.
•
Wear proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when handling the
•
electric fence or its energizer.
