4 Safety
4.1 Burn danger
•
The laboratory electric burner LAB 3 must be handled with caution.
•
It is not advisable to move the apparatus while it is heating or
turned on.
4.2 Personal protection
•
Do not perform any experiment without first knowing the risks
associated with the chemicals used.
•
Use the proper personal protective and laboratory safety equipment
(fume hoods, protective goggles...) for the type of chemicals being
used.
•
Do not use this apparatus to heat inflammable liquids, chemicals or
mixtures of chemicals that pose a fire or explosion hazard.
4.3 Fumes
Work in a ventilated room if there is a danger of fumes being generated
from a given procedure.
4.4 Use precautions
Never leave the apparatus running unattended.
4.5 Work surface
•
Never use the apparatus on an inflammable surface.
•
Never work closer than 30 cm to a wall.
4.6 Warning
The JEULIN Company warns the operator that the safety of this
apparatus may be compromised if it is used in any manner not
specified in these instructions.
