3 Use
3.1 Power on / off
•
Place the apparatus on a stable, level surface.
•
The apparatus must be plugged into a circuit that meets its electric
requirements, with grounding and differential protection.
•
After plugging in, the on/off indicator light comes on (the red light)
•
Turn the control knob from 0 to MAX, according to the temperature
required. The blue temperature indicator light will stay on until the
desired temperature is reached, then it goes out (except when the
knob is set on MAX).
•
To turn the apparatus off: set the control knob back to 0. The red
indicator light will go out. The apparatus is now turned off
completely.
3.2 Heating containers
•
To heat flat-bottomed containers (beakers, flasks...): place them
directly on the support grill.
•
To place round-bottomed flasks on the LAB 3 electric burner or to
enable a safer maintaining of flat-bottom containers, it is
recommended to use the glass holder (Item no. 703 522), or the
grid for LAB 2 and LAB 3 electric burners (réf. 703 087).
