2.1) Operation
(Ref. to Fig. 3)
– Place the pump on a fl at surface, with the whole of the base resting on the ground. This will
provide stability for the pump during operation.
– Before operating the pump, ensure that the coupler on the head is securely fi tted to the coupler
on the hose.
– Open the latch (11) to release the spring-loaded pedal (40) (see Fig 3a). Commence operation by
pumping the pedal (9).
– Continue pumping (see Fig. 3b) until the crimping, cutting or punching operation is complete.
For crimping heads, it is recommended to continue pumping until the maximum pressure
valve is actived and a "click" is heard.
– To release the oil pressure and return the head to the rest position, depress the pedal (31) until
the ram fully retracts (see Fig. 3c).
2.2) Storage
After completion of the work store the pump in the steel case with the pressure fully released.
– Depress pedal (9) and lock in position with the latch (11).
– Fully release the oil pressure by depressing the pressure release pedal (31).
– Coil the hose, in wide loops around the pump.
– Place the pump in the plastic case.
The pump is robust and requires very little daily maintenance.
Compliance with the following points, should help to maintain the optimum performance of the pump:
3.1) Accurate cleaning
Dust, sand and dirt are a danger for any hydraulic device.
Every day, after use, the tool must be cleaned with a clean cloth, taking care to remove any residue,
especially close to pivots and moveable parts.
3.2) Storage
(Ref. to Fig. 4)
When not in use, the tool should be stored and transported in the plastic case, to prevent damage.
Plastic case: VAL-P21; size: 820x430x290 mm (32.3x16.9x11.4 in.); weight: 6,7 Kg (14.8 lbs).
